June 30th we flew to San Jose where we spent 10 days playing with Grandma and Grandpa Post and Jordan's sibblings' families. We had so much fun!

Jordan flew home from California to go back to work, but the kids and I drove to Utah in a car we bought from his parents. While in Utah we stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Salmon, Shana, and the Trumps for about eight days total.

From Utah we traveled on to Aurora, Colorado where we stayed a couple of nights with my cousin Kim and her family. We had a lot of fun with her and Peter and their kids swimming, playing in the yard, and waiting out tornado sirens in their basement! No pictures this time though--I was a slacker.
Finally we drove home on July 21st. After 2100 miles of traveling alone with four kids, and three weeks of living out of suitcases it was so nice to be home! We loved being able to see so many of our friends and family, though, and are grateful to everyone who let us stay with them

Trista is 3!

On the 16th of June Trista turned three! She's been waiting and waiting for her birthday, and it was especially hard for her to see Dallin, Spencer, and me all have birthdays over the past three months while she was waiting for hers. She's been asking to go to Chuck E Cheese's for her party, and we were happy to oblige. We invited a few friends from church, but mostly kept it pretty simple. Her favorite part was riding the pony... over... and over... and over again. I think she used almost every coin she had just riding that pony!

Trista chose princess cupcakes for her cake, and she did a great job blowing out the candles!

For presents she got some new dress-ups, a beach bucket, and a princess cell phone.

Daddy even left work for a little while to join us in celebrating Trista's birthday!

As you can see, it wouldn't have been a party without the party hats--Trista insisted on those! We love Trista so much and are so glad she's such an important, fun part of our family!

Bike Wreck

Yesterday Dallin tried to take on the hot pavement with his face. I think it's clear who won.

His face actually looks much better today than it did yesterday. The kids were all out riding bikes, including my nephew Braden who is staying with us this week. Apparently Dallin was riding alongside Braden, going pretty fast, when he looked back to see who was behind him. He swerved into Braden's bike and consequently, bit the dust. The amazing thing is he doesn't have a scratch on any other part of his body, just his poor face.

As he was crying all he kept saying was, "I shouldn't have turned around. I shouldn't have been riding so fast. I shouldn't have been so close to Braden's bike." I kept assuring him that everyone gets in a bike wreck sometime when they're little, but he was so sure that he did something very wrong.

Dallin's leaving on an airplane to California today to begin summer vacation. We're supposed to have family pictures while we're all at Grandma and Grandpa Post's. I hope his face heals quickly!

Greatest Ever

Congratulations to Roger Federer for his championship win of the French Open today!

Jordan and I absolutely love Federer. He is amazing to watch and such a great sport. We've been rooting for him to win his 14th grand slam, and it couldn't have come at a better time than at the French Open. And it was so much less stressful to watch him play Robin Soderling today instead of Rafael Nadal.

My dream now is to actually see him play in person before he retires. Hopefully he still has a few good years left. I'll start saving my $$$$!

Spencer's 7th Birthday!

The day after we got back from St. Louis, May 26th to be exact, was Spencer's 7th birthday! We celebrated by having a birthday cake at Grandma and Grandpa's while we were all together.

One of the things Spencer bought with his birthday money was a slip-n-slide. The kids loved playing on it the very first day that was warm enough.

Happy Birthday, Spencer! We love having your fun, carefree spirit in our home! You're such an awesome brother and friend, and an excellent baseball player as well! We love you!

(Enjoy the background in honor of Spencer--his favorite color is orange! He insists he wants an orange Bug for a car when he turns 16. I keep telling him he may not fit in it, but he's not convinced!)

Memorial Weekend

Over Memorial Weekend we (my family, my parents, and Carley's family) went on a short trip to St. Louis. While we were there we visited the temple, the zoo, the art museum (very briefly since the kids weren't quite old enough to appreciate it), and the science center. The best part of all is that they were all FREE! Enjoy the following pictures of our fabulous weekend!
